Installation en réseau Eléonore Hellio & Joachim Montessuis // Deaf Festival 2004 – Rotterdam.

Deux espaces, reliés via internet. Dans chacun d’entre eux, on peut entrer et se déplacer devant l’écran, avec dans la main un joystick qui, activé, fait apparaître l’image de l’autre personne sur l’écran. Les mouvements du joystick activent aussi un espace sonore, noise, et l’ensemble créé une sorte de face à face performatif à la fois distant et très physique.

Two spaces, linked through internet. In each of them we can enter, and move forward to the screen, with, in hand, a joystick which, when activated make appear the picture of the other person on the screen in front of us. The movements of the joystick activate sound, noise, and the all thing create a kind of performative distant and at the same time very ‘physical’ face to face.
